The bestest yet.

Its so nice when things come together. Yesterday traffic was minimal on my journey home, i got home to a spotless and shiney flat and immidiately started considering what would be dinner. something simple. Boiled up some pasta, made a pasta sauce and whacked on spices- my "FAVE FLAVE" rosemary and sage. Simple and honestly my best meal at 173 Constantia Drive yet.

Fortunately i had made wa'ay too much so when a starving Mike surprise arrived, he tucked in and im guessing from the lack of conversation we had for those 7 and 3 quarter minutes while he ate, that he too enjoyed the grubbo. Tea and Jeff-ffaffa DunHAMMM sealed the deal.

Who says Mondays Shmundays!?!
Next im testing out my new tinnish bowls. You dig?

NO FOOD!!!

I will be joyously making my way to Parys for some respite from assignments and work this weekend. No cellphones, no Super14, no Facebook and no video ads to film. Im also proud to say i didn't make my bed or organise my washing- but did manage to take out the trash.

But the true reason i am in such a fantastic mood is that i made my application for tickets to the opening match of the Football world cup 2010. Come April 15 '09, i foresee an email saying my account has been debited by R960 for my 2 beautiful stubs. Soccer city here i come. Even sooner though, as soon as next weekend, a bungee expedition from Orlando towers will prepare Soweto for my screaming.

So if you find im not answering calls this weekend, dont be offended or worried. And when you miss me just come visit my blog and look at my sun-rise and visualise making my bed for me. And as the title suggests, no food in this insert - mom spoilt me to a seafood linguine dinner in parkview last night :)

Biglove guys n girls ;)

SHWABBA WABBA!!!

I wanna be in high school BADLY. Lunch money, bad music, horrible hairstyles- wait, im not entirely sure i dropped that one. Anyway, I think what i miss most is that when people tell you that you aren't making the grade you can get angry at them and listen to bad metal punk rap music. In the real world its all shwabba wabba music, introspection and gravy.

Gravy is my Urban slur for the day- its what you put on your life to make it look n taste better after you cook it a bit too long. Its also what my Chicken needed. And dont put peanuts in your rice. And dont lie in the foetal position in the shower crying with a sponge for a pillow rubbing a soapy lather into your elbow.

Dont forget take-out!!!

Rainbow rolls, Maki and California rolls make a perfect Thursday evening. Add one Kami and a horror fliek and you'll wake up revived on Friday mornings- tried and tested :) Then getting up 10 minutes earlier to drop the DVD, and get spoilt by the sun peaking over the hill, SUPER!!!

No pending dishes, no depleted cupboard stocks and no stove top wash required. Perfect for a home ready to watch Rob and Danni flying over Chapman's on Sunday morning. Good luck guys n girls, I'll be watching in my ski pants ;)

One last take out note though, make sure not to forget some awesome desert. Sushi will leave you with a gap everytime- Haagen Daz was a proper winner with us. Now for some weekend :)

Sid Vicious, I don't know.

The horrible truth is that sometimes your good ideas turn into ugly little eyesores, like the time i tried to write a rap song and the one time i wore pink (salmon whatever). It happened again last night when i left out a starch and used mushy mushroom n spinach to go with my fried fish. WHAT WAS I THINKING you ask, well, i cant really answer that. What i can say though, is that the meal was saved by three things;

1. Sid Vicious articles.
2. The mango with Thai hot sauce.

Seriously, fruit and mains are not be underestimated. This dish tasted really funky (good funky) with the contrasts of white meat, green veg, hot fruit and lemony cream. And...

The third thing that saved this beauty defy-er, was that start to finish (stove top on - dishes washed) took me 35 minutes. And i made lunch for the next day.

Keep your eyes peeled for the appearance of both taste testers and the lovely sheep pants looking for permenant spots on the blog.
